Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a simple procedure. When performed with expertise and precision, unwanted hair is permanently destroyed.
The Process: A fine sterile probe is gently guided into the natural opening of the hair follicle. A small amount of heat emits through the probe, destroying the hair growth cells and follicle. The treated hair is then gently removed.
Electrolysis effectively treats all skin types and all types of hair including: blonde, gray, white, and dark, whether fine or thick. Even peach fuzz!
Electrolysis is a process that requires a series of treatments over an extended period of time. For optimal results in the shortest period of time, consistency and maintaining a regular treatment schedule is the only key to success.

​​Simply Put: Laser is a light. This light passes through the skin and only targets melanin (the substance that gives hair its color). When the light comes in contact with melanin it instantaneously creates heat that destroys the follicle. I give more detailed information during your consult so you have a complete understanding of the process and what to expect.
​​If done correctly, laser will effectively destroy 80-90% of unwanted hair. It's important to have reasonable expectations. You can expect to have a small percentage of hair left after your final laser treatment. Any remaining hair can be permanently removed with electrolysis.

Laser Pricing

An in-person consultation is required to assess the treatment area and review your personal history to provide accurate answers to questions. Pricing varies significantly, as everyone's "same" areas can differ greatly from person to person. Due to the technical nature of both electrolysis & laser, it's not feasible to address even basic questions effectively via text/phone, making an in-person consult essential.

Laser pricing is determined case by case, based on clinical assessment. I do not offer estimates without a consultation, as doing so would compromise the accuracy and integrity of care. My practice is built on personalized treatment - not the cookie-cutter models used by high-volume med-spas.

As a Certified Professional Electrologist, Stephanie Susi is the first woman in New York State to complete an approved electrolysis apprenticeship program. For 35 years Stephanie has worked in the hair removal and aesthetic industry with extensive experience in laser hair removal and electrolysis, with additional expertise in laser treatments of fine lines and wrinkles, pigmented lesions/age spots, spider veins, as well as chemical peels.
Stephanie was personally trained and certified by world-renowned Dermatologist and Laser Surgery pioneer Dr. Robert M. Adrian, Center for Laser Surgery in Washington, DC, named one of the "Best Doctors in America” and regularly listed as Washington's leading laser surgeon by Washingtonian Magazine. Stephanie continued laser certification training in Boston and NYC.
Beginning her career with local plastic surgeon, Dr. Patricia Fox, Stephanie quickly grew as an entrepreneur with the establishment of Electrolysis Treatment Center in 1999, which later evolved into Center for Hair Removal with the addition of laser hair removal. Stephanie and her work were featured in the national magazine SELF.
Today, Stephanie focuses on her private practice, providing clients a relaxed and discreet environment that thrives on her well-known and respected reputation of effective, efficient permanent hair removal. Her services are delivered with an enduring personal connection with each client. Her knowledge, professionalism, and quiet confidence creates an atmosphere of calming comfort and fosters loyalty among her customers.
